Born in stunning Cape Town, South Africa. This fun-loving Chef offers guests a contemporary take on Mediterranean cuisine, heavily influenced by my extensive travels around the world while retaining hints and touches of my South African roots.
A keen traveller in my spare time you are most likely to find me either behind the lens of a camera, playing a round of golf or with a fishing rod in hand, and if a guest is lucky enough to hook a big Tuna or Mahi during their holiday, then if they wish I can certainly give them a crash course in landing, cleaning and cooking that beautiful fresh fish on the spot!
I always look forward and pride myself to guiding guests and crew through the best possible culinary experience while on board. No matter the diet specifications or allergies.
Prior to my 9 years experience on Superyachts I worked in fine dining restaurants in both the UK and South Africa, and my most recent role was a four year period as sole chef on the super busy and successful 40 metre charter sailing yacht “TWILIGHT”.
It was on “TWILIGHT” where I was lucky enough to get entered into the Barcelona Charter Show Chef Competition - hosted by MYBA. Including some hugely busy broker lunch days and some late night prepping and planning. I was fortunate enough to come out on top and win the Barcelona Charter Show Chef Competition. It was a true honor and epic experience, well worth all the hard work by both me and the rest of the crew!
