“Jéan Matthee joined the crew of S/Y Twilight on the 14th November 2016 as the permanent chef after providing the owners with a tasting menu which was so well received, he was offered the position straight away. In his first year with us he won the 2017 Barcelona Boat show award of best chef in his boat class.
Jéan soon became a highly rated and respected member of the crew providing a standard of cuisine that ranked high above the normal chefs we had encountered previously. His attention to detail and presentation was exceptional and with that came a confidence and humbleness that sat very dearly with our charter quests.
Jéan was a full member of the crew helping where necessary to ensure the smooth running of the yacht whilst on charter.
But his passion lies within the kitchen or on the beach preparing a South African Braai for the guests.
